yeah not feeling the upgrade couldnt quite figure out why till now..... its the dimples at the sides their mouth and chin areas that are annoying me........ constantly changing how the characters look 2:30 6:45..... perfect comparison is at 2:39 between the two girls..... wifey's dimples are gone and ling'ers are highly prevalent but wifey's dimples are back and she looks different 2:49
nie li looks alot different and i liked his older model better.... the females look good.... but only sometimes like wifey @ 2:50\bad 3:11\good just look at how much ling'ers face changes from 3:15 to 3:19 and she looks way different later around 6:45
i do like how they dont always have the same outfits on in this ep.... ya'll know the toons always wear the same outfit for the whole length of the show and never switch cloths unless they level up or a special event happens.... i think this feature will be the best part of the upgrade if it continues

OMG!!!! The graphics quality of Yao Shen Ji is definitely TOP Notch! Heck, it might be even better than Fanren, Perfect World, Tunshi XingKong or Doupo Cangqiong!!! They REALLY upped their game! Damn! It is soooo beautiful now... Mind genuinely Blown!

Surely we didn't watch the same ep of Yao Shen Ji... the level of detail on their faces, their hair, the motions and smoothness, soooooo beautiful! nothing to envy to the other big Donghuas for sure! Same level a least!

Plus I'm only talking about the graphics side. Story wise it's pointless comparing because each of them have quite a refreshing, unique standpoint (they're not the most popular for nothing) compared to the ever redundant and overexploited japanese Isekais. Yao Shen Ji Story is very well thought of IMO. Chinese version of a Re-do that is well executed and works very well.

Anyways, graphics went from being a bit childish to EXTREMELY refined and it is very pleasing to watch.

we ARE just talking about graphics. Fan Ren and Tunshi Xingkong in the respective catergories are at the top imo.

just the level of detail in both the clothing animations and special effects of Fan Ren is SSS Tier. the material quality of the suits, combat special effects and character animations of Tunshi Xingkong are also SSS tier.

Yao Shen Ji definitely stepped it up putting over the others including doupo i definitely agree here.

Actually Fan Ren were among the peers that showed good graphics. Then all others started catching up. This is good for any Donghua to be televised. At least now I don’t see Nie Li walking with crotch itchiness.

fan ren's graphics are old news and i would consider them trash now after seeing San Ti...... would love to see half these donghua with San Ti graphics upgrades

those graphics are wasted on that trash anime. still i disagree they are not better than fan ren's but they are top tier.

maybe.....but character stiffness is motion based not graphics based... their faces look way more real then fan ren hands down night and day... fan ren = ps4 san ti= ps5. and that train scene was action packed and flowed extremely well ......didnt notice any stiffness there

wow if you really feel that way over these graphics you will be mind boggled once you watch San Ti..... by far the best I've seen to date and wish every show you mentioned upgraded to San Ti's quality

correction L.O.R.D. legend or land of ravishing dynasties has the best graphics ive seen but two movie length shows and the first came out i 2016... but dam the animation look real af... the toons look exactly like the rl actors...... hard to find the first one but second is on yt

I would much prefer the original names portrayed in Chinese pronunciations rather than the literal translations of their names. The only exceptions are when the locations are translated as it gives the audience a general idea of where the story is going.

Edit:

Xiao Yu --> Xiao Language

Why translate only half of it while keeping the Xiao the same? Might as well translate the whole thing to "Small Language".

Never mind. I think the translator is just high this episode (or just too lazy to properly proofread it after using google translate assuming they do not know Mandarin).
